Day 1 :

Waterfalls, Wilderness, and the Road to Mysore

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from the Bangalore airport. Settle into your comfortable private vehicle as we head towards our first destination.

Talakadu - The Buried Temples: Our first stop is the mysterious town of Talakadu, famously known as the "land of buried temples." Once home to over 30 magnificent temples, most now lie buried under sand dunes. We will explore the excavated temples, including the Vaidyeshwara Temple, and learn about the fascinating curse that befell this ancient town.
Shivanasamudra Falls - A Spectacle of Nature: Next, we proceed to Shivanasamudra, the island town that divides the Kaveri River into two breathtaking waterfalls.
- Gaganachukki Falls: Witness the powerful, wedge-shaped cascade that is a feast for the eyes.
- Bharachukki Falls: Admire the wider, more graceful segmented waterfall, offering picturesque views.
- Shimsha Bluff: We'll also visit a viewpoint to see the river from a different, serene perspective.
BR Hills & K Gudi - Tryst with Wildlife: We then drive towards the Biligirirangana Hills (BR Hills), a protected tiger reserve that forms a crucial bridge between the Western and Eastern Ghats. We will drive through the lush forests of the K Gudi (Kyathadevara Gudi) Wilderness Camp area, keeping an eye out for diverse flora and fauna, including elephants, deer, gaurs, and a vibrant array of birdlife.
Overnight Stay in Mysore: After a thrilling day packed with natural wonders, we drive to the 'City of Palaces,' Mysore. Check into your pre-booked hotel and relax for the evening, preparing for a day of royal exploration.

Day 2 :

The Royal Heritage of Mysore & Return to Bangalore

After a refreshing breakfast, we check out from the hotel and begin our tour of Mysore's iconic landmarks.

Chamundi Hills & Big Bull: We start by driving up the sacred Chamundi Hills to visit the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple, a revered pilgrimage site offering panoramic views of the city. On our way down, we'll stop to marvel at the gigantic Nandi (Big Bull) statue, one of the largest monolithic Nandi statues in India.
Mysore Palace: Step into a world of opulence at the magnificent Mysore Palace (Amba Vilas Palace). Explore the stunning architecture, intricate carvings, grand halls, and beautiful paintings that tell the story of the Wodeyar dynasty.
St. Philomena's Cathedral: We then visit the majestic St. Philomena's Church, one of the tallest churches in Asia. Its neo-gothic architecture is truly awe-inspiring and provides a sense of peace and tranquility.
Tipu Sultan's Legacy: We'll get a glimpse into the life of the "Tiger of Mysore" by visiting historical sites associated with Tipu Sultan, including his Summer Palace (Daria Daulat Bagh) in Srirangapatna.
Journey Back to Bangalore: After a fulfilling tour of Mysore, we begin our journey back to Bangalore. You will be dropped off at the airport for your onward journey, filled with lasting memories of your Karnataka adventure.
